El Neumático CONTINENTAL GRAND PRIX 5000 700c TubeType Flexible es el sucesor del muy reputado Grand Prix 4000S II. La marca alemana diseñó un producto utilizable tanto en entrenamiento como en carrera, y tanto en carretera seca como mojada.

Compuesto de tres capas, el Grand Prix 5000 está diseñado para conciliar rendimiento, grip y resistencia sin olvidar el confort. Para lograr un agarre excepcional en carretera, el neumático está concebido con la tecnología Lazer Grip. Este conjunto de pequeñas estructuras en el lateral del neumático permite obtener la máxima adherencia incluso cuando se toma ángulo en carretera mojada. Para un rendimiento óptimo, Continental ha revisado su tecnología Black Chill. 

En cuanto al confort y la resistencia, el GP 5000 utiliza el Active Confort que absorbe las vibraciones y el Vectran Breaker, fabricado con fibras sintéticas que hacen el neumático muy resistente a los pinchazos con un peso controlado.
