The Wolf Tooth Premium Aero IS52 is an elite-level integrated headset (Integrated System), CNC-machined in Minneapolis, United States. This ultra-specific variant was developed in close collaboration with the standards of the brand ENVE to integrate seamlessly with their cockpit system and internal cable routing In-Route.

Designed to sit directly in the carbon bearing seats of your frame, this aerodynamic model integrates specific openings and channels. These allow hydraulic brake hoses and gear cables to be routed in a completely invisible manner from the handlebar to the inside of the frame. Equipped with stainless steel Enduro Bearings sealed bearings, it guarantees total steering smoothness and absolute resistance to sweat, rain and dust.

Each headset benefits from a triple-level double seal system, including an upper O-ring, a bespoke cup lip seal and a double-lip seal on the crown. This design ensures optimal bearing protection against water and dust, significantly extending their service life.

Can I install this headset on a bike with a standard handlebar and no internal cable routing? No, this is not recommended. This headset features specific machining and shapes on its upper cover to mate with the profiled spacers of the ENVE In-Route system. For a standard IS52 handlebar or frame without integrated cables, it is better to choose the Wolf Tooth Premium IS52 Standard version.

Does this headset come with the compression ring and top cap? This model is generally supplied complete with its specific Aero upper cover, the stainless steel bearing and the split compression ring adapted for cable routing. For the top cap and the expansion system in the carbon steerer, the specific expander supplied by ENVE with their fork or frame kit must be used.

Why is sealing so important on a model with integrated cable routing? On modern fully integrated bikes, replacing a worn or corroded upper bearing requires a great deal of work (brake hoses must be disconnected, cables removed, and the entire hydraulic system bled again). Wolf Tooth has therefore equipped this model with its best stainless steel bearings and double-lip seals to push maintenance intervals as far as possible and spare you complex mechanical work.
