After a turbulent period at the end of 2023, Probikeshop got back on the road in January 2024. But it is not just a name that survived: it is a team of passionate people who stuck together.

To tell you everything, this revival is a story of friendship and loyalty. Olivier, our founder, took back the reins alongside his lifelong friend, Ken (founder and owner of the company Troika). Together, they chose to start again with a core team of 15 team members, all from the former team, with an average of 8 years with the company. We are therefore still the same people, based in our offices on Quai Rambaud in Lyon, where the heart of the brand was already beating.

Today, we have already dispatched more than 300,000 orders since our relaunch. We are moving forward with humility, step by step, to offer you once again the reference catalogue (already more than 40,000 products!) and the service you deserve.

This is above all a story of reunion and passion!

Behind this revival, we find Olivier Rochon, the original founder of Probikeshop. He could not bring himself to see the adventure end there. To relaunch his brand, he partnered with Ken Gessler, his lifelong friend and owner of the company Troika.

This duo did not come about by chance: Ken was already alongside Olivier at the very birth of Probikeshop in 2005. It is therefore a return to roots with familiar faces, far from large financial groups.

To support us in this major challenge, we are also fortunate to count on a key partner: Snowleader, (through its logistics subsidiary Robloch'log) another major player in the Outdoor sector in our region. They bring their logistics expertise to ensure your parcels reach you in the best possible conditions.

But what matters most to us is that the operational team is made up of 100% veterans of the adventure, based in our historic offices in Lyon. These 15 passionate individuals, with an average of 8 years' tenure, are the ones who make the "new" Probikeshop beat every day.

A specialist catalogue: We currently offer more than 40,000 references in spare parts, accessories and equipment for cyclists. Our ambition is clear: to become your go-to technical reference again, whatever your type of riding.

Responsive logistics: Thanks to our partnership with Snowleader, your orders are prepared and dispatched with all the expertise of a leading Outdoor Ecommerce player.

The right to change your mind: You have 30 days to return a product if it does not suit you. Return costs are even covered if you choose a store credit.

It is an understandable confusion, but the distinction is important: Probikeshop was never liquidated.

In October 2023, following the difficulties of our former shareholder (the German group SSU), the company was placed into administration. This step, though difficult, is precisely a protection procedure that allowed solutions to be sought to save the brand and its jobs.

Thanks to the efforts of our founder Olivier and his friend Ken, a takeover plan was approved by the Commercial Court as early as December 2023. This allowed us to:

Avoid liquidation - which would have meant the definitive end of the Probikeshop brand.

Protect our customers: at the time of the transition, all customers with outstanding orders were refunded.

Relaunch the adventure: since January 2024, we have started again on solid foundations, with a team of 15 passionate long-standing members and a new French logistics partner, Snowleader.

Today, with more than 300,000 orders fulfilled since this takeover, that period is behind us.

We are looking to the future to continue offering you the best of cycling, with the same passion as in 2005.

It was Olivier Rochon who founded Probikeshop in 2005. A passionate cyclist and entrepreneur at heart, he led the brand for nearly 20 years.

What makes the current adventure so special is that Olivier is still here, very much present day-to-day in our offices.

To relaunch the brand in January 2024, he surrounded himself with his lifelong friend, Ken Gessler (who was already by his side during the company's very first steps in 2005).

But beyond Olivier, it is a whole "core team" that has remained loyal:

A 100% original team: The 15 team members who run the site today were already part of the former team.

A shared experience: With an average tenure of 8 years, we all share Olivier's vision: that of a specialist site, close to its customers and passionate about gear.
