The internal Centerlock nut Wolf Tooth MKØ Centerlock with internal splines is the ideal component for road, gravel or MTB builds using 12 mm axles or quick releases (QR). From the new MKØ precision collection, this nut is designed for cyclists seeking perfect integration and minimal weight.
CNC machined from high-strength 7075-T6 aluminium, it offers a clean and precise clamping interface. Its internal design allows the use of the standard disc tool, delivering an extremely clean look as the tool inserts inside the nut, leaving only its smooth anodised face visible once installed.
When should I choose the "internal" version over the "external" version? Choose the internal version if you use a 12 mm axle (standard on the majority of modern road and gravel bikes) or a QR axle. It is the most aesthetically pleasing version as the nut is more compact. If your axle is larger (15 mm), the tool will not be able to fit inside, in which case you will need the "external" version.
What tool should I use? This is one of its great advantages: it uses the same tool as the one used to remove your cassette. No need to purchase an additional specific tool.
Is it compatible with discs from other brands (SRAM, Magura...)? Absolutely. It is compatible with all discs using the Centerlock mounting standard, regardless of the disc or hub brand.
