Description
This angular contact headset bearing features balls and races in 440C stainless steel for optimal corrosion protection. This bearing is also known in the cycling industry under the following references: ACB3344H6 and AC3344. Not all stainless steels are equal. Enduro exclusively uses 440C stainless steel balls and races to guarantee a long service life and superior corrosion resistance, even in demanding environments.
Although stainless steel has a 20% lower load capacity and is slightly softer than our standard 52100 chrome steel used in most of our bearings, it is an excellent alternative for use in wet conditions, if you frequently wash your bike or if perspiration may be an issue. Enduro Bearings also uses LLB-type seals and CRC marine grease in these bearings for enhanced sealing. Enduro 440C stainless steel headset bearings are identical to those found in many popular headset brands, including those backed by a 110-year warranty.
