Description
The SRAM Code RSC front brake is the most powerful offered by the American manufacturer! Providing a power gain estimated at 15% compared to the Guide, it is highly useful for aggressive MTB disciplines. It can also be an excellent fit for an e-MTB, whose greater weight requires a highly effective braking system.
Made from forged aluminium, the Code RSC calliper houses 4 pistons of 15 and 16 mm in diameter, even wider than those of the Guide. It benefits from Heat Shield technology, which reduces heat transfer from the pad to the calliper body during braking, for ever more effective management of high temperatures. The calliper is also compatible with the Bleeding Edge kit, which simplifies hydraulic circuit bleeding operations.
The Matchmaker X compatible lever features a tool-free adjustable reach and allows the contact point with the pads to be set. Above all, it is equipped with the Swing Link which helps eliminate the dead zone in braking while preserving modulation, to deliver a precise, powerful, yet progressive feel.

Powerful and adjustable
"Opinions are mixed on the SRAM CODE brakes, but personally I really like them, especially in RSC mode. The braking power remains consistent even after long descents, and modulation is a breeze. As for maintenance, the Bleeding Edge bleeding system is very convenient. A hose connector and a hose end are included in case you need to shorten the hose. That said, you might run into the issue of slow lever return, which requires completely disassembling the affected lever, but this seems very rare since I haven’t found any similar cases online (normally it’s the GUIDE that’s more prone to this problem)."
