How should I wash my bib short to extend its lifespan? To preserve the elasticity of the fibres and the quality of the chamois pad, machine wash your bib short at 30°C maximum, inside out, ideally in a laundry bag. Use a mild liquid detergent and avoid fabric softener (which clogs the breathable fibres). Leave it to dry in the open air — never put it in the tumble dryer.
