The Cap Sportful Aqua Light Cycling is a technical cycling cap specially designed for riding in wet weather. The ideal companion to the rain jacket from the same range (Aqua Light Jacket), it fits perfectly under the helmet to protect the upper part of the face from raindrops, road splashes or Gravel trail spray.

Unlike traditional cotton cycling caps that absorb water and become heavy, this model features a modern design in lightweight, hydrophobic synthetic fabric. It acts as a barrier against water and wind while maintaining excellent breathability to prevent the head from overheating during effort.

Does this cap interfere with helmet tightening? Not at all. Sportful specifically developed this cap for cycling use. The fabric used is extremely thin and the seams are flat. It perfectly follows the shape of the skull and fits under any modern cycling helmet without requiring you to radically adjust the rear dial.

Is it 100% waterproof like a swimming cap? No, and this is a deliberate technical choice. If it were completely airtight, the heat and perspiration from your head would remain trapped, creating uncomfortable condensation. The fabric of the Aqua Light range blocks the majority of rain and draughts while allowing the scalp to breathe during pedalling.

How should this technical cap be washed? To preserve its hydrophobic properties and the stiffness of its peak, it is recommended to machine wash at a low temperature (30 degrees maximum) on a delicate cycle, ideally in a laundry bag. Avoid the tumble dryer and fabric softener at all costs, as these could damage the technical fibres.
