The SCHWALBE SHREDDA REAR GRAVITY PRO ADDIX ULTRASOFT RADIAL tyre is specially designed to deliver maximum traction and stability on the steepest climbs. Thanks to its radial carcass, it maximises the contact patch and effectively absorbs terrain irregularities, guaranteeing more grip, comfort and safety. Its targeted deformation allows it to literally stick to the ground, ensuring optimal propulsion even in the most demanding conditions.

With a tread depth slightly shallower than the Front version, it offers an excellent compromise between stability and grip. Its open tread design with paddle effect considerably improves traction on soft terrain, generating excellent traction under braking and propulsion. Thanks to its Addix UltraSoft compound, this tyre guarantees optimal traction and excellent handling on technical terrain even in the coldest conditions. The Gravity Pro carcass is designed for harder use in enduro and downhill. It is therefore slightly heavier than the Trail carcass, but it is more stable and offers better puncture protection.

Schwalbe rethinks the structure of MTB tyres: instead of a classic diagonal weave, the threads are placed at a more obtuse angle allowing the tyre to deform more locally. It therefore follows surface irregularities much better than a diagonal carcass tyre and always maintains contact with the ground. The result: more grip, more comfort and more safety on the trail. Furthermore, at equal pressure, the contact patch increases by approximately 30%.

Developed for the Downhill World Cup, the radial tyres helped Amaury Pierron shine, winning Val di Sole and Les Gets by impressive margins.
