Description

The SCHWALBE Aerothan inner tube is a revolutionary model that achieves superior values in terms of elasticity, weight and puncture resistance.

It is made from thermoplastic polyester-polyurethane called Aerothane, which is more robust and resistant than butyl, latex or other plastics. It provides unique tensile strength, exceptional cushioning, resistance to extreme heat (temperatures above 150°C at 78 km/h) at maximum wear, and is also recyclable.

Aerothan tubes do not burst suddenly, but air escapes slowly in the event of a fault. Even at extremely low air pressure, they retain their shape and handling remains stable. Also, fitting is now much easier: the tube does not slip and cannot get pinched. Finally, save at least 100 g per inner tube compared to classic models!

"Like the Tubolito, they are made of polypropylene, as are the Revoloop. No matter how hard you tread, this material clings far too tightly to the tire. And they all end up tearing at the valve. The day a brand comes out with 27.5" latex tubes, I'll definitely switch to mountain bikes. In the meantime, I've given up tubeless after 8 years and am switching back to light butyl tubes. Avoid all these revolutions, it's a waste of money compared to a latex inner tube".
