BROOKS CAMBIUM C13 CARVED 145 mm Black Saddle

The BROOKS C13 Carved Saddle represents the technological pinnacle of Brooks England. It is a competition saddle that in no way sacrifices the brand's legendary comfort. Built on a continuous carbon monocoque chassis, it considerably reduces weight whilst offering an ultra-stiff platform for optimal power transfer.

The "Carved" version is distinguished by its central opening (cutout) designed to relieve perineal pressure and offer increased flexibility. This feature is particularly appreciated during long intensive rides where saddle comfort becomes a performance factor. The waterproof and textured nylon cover ensures exemplary durability and excellent grip, whatever the weather conditions. It is the saddle of choice for road cycling, criterium or fast gravel riding.

Can I fit the C13 on any seatpost? Please note, the C13 uses oval carbon rails (7x9 mm). Check that your seatpost clamp is compatible with oval rails (some clamps designed solely for 7 mm round rails require an adapter).

Why are there several widths? To suit your sit bone spacing. The 145 mm version is the most versatile for road use, whilst the 158 mm offers additional support for those with a wider pelvis.

Is the Carved version less sturdy than the solid version? Not at all. The vulcanised rubber structure is extremely durable. The cutout is reinforced to maintain the saddle's tension throughout its lifetime.

Is it suitable for long distances (ultra-distance type)? Absolutely. It is one of the favourite choices of ultra-distance cyclists as it combines the lightness of carbon with the flexibility of rubber, which is far less fatiguing for the body than a rigid plastic saddle over 200 km.
