Description
The RockShox 38 mm dust seal installation tool is used to fit dust seals in the lower legs of RockShox forks with 38 mm stanchions, such as the ZEB and Domain. It works with both flanged and flangeless seals.
It presses the seal in straight and to the correct depth without damaging it or marking the lower leg, which is difficult to guarantee with an improvised tool. A poorly fitted seal lets dust and water in, causes premature wear to the bushings and reduces fork sensitivity.
Which forks is this tool designed for? All RockShox forks with 38 mm stanchions, primarily the ZEB and Domain. RockShox offers dedicated tools for other diameters (28/30, 32 and 35 mm).
Do I need other tools to change the seals? Yes. This tool is for fitting the seals. To remove the old seals and complete the procedure, follow the RockShox service manual for your fork.
