The RITCHEY Comp Switch Upper Press Fit 1.5" ZS56 headset is an essential component of the new Ritchey Switch system. Specifically designed for the Ritchey Switch stem, it plays a crucial role in routing cables, wires and hydraulic hoses from the handlebar to the bike frame.

In practice, the cables are routed from the handlebar into the headset conduit, located on the underside of the Switch stem. They then pass through an opening at the front of the Switch headset spacers before running through two channels on top of the headset and entering the frame. This ingenious system allows the headset bearings to operate without any interference from the cables, wires or lines passing through the steerer tube.
