The RACE FACE stem Turbine is Race Face's ultimate all-round stem. CNC machined from aerospace-grade 7075 aluminium, it is designed to withstand the demands of All-Mountain and Enduro riding while remaining light enough for committed Cross-Country use.
Its distinguishing feature lies in its Overbite faceplate, which distributes clamping forces evenly across the handlebar. This reduces stress points, which is crucial if you are using a carbon handlebar. It is a piece of mechanical craftsmanship that delivers immediate steering precision and a premium look to any cockpit.
Is it compatible with carbon handlebars? Absolutely. Thanks to its Overbite faceplate, the pressure is better distributed, which avoids crushing the carbon fibres. Simply make sure to use a torque wrench to respect the specified tightening torques.
Why choose the 35 mm diameter? The 35 mm standard increases the rigidity of the cockpit/fork assembly, offering more precise steering in rough sections, without adding weight to the component.
Is it suited to pure Downhill (DH)? Although extremely strong, Race Face offers the Atlas model for intensive DH or Freeride use. The Turbine is more orientated towards Trail and Enduro bikes where weight saving is important.
Are the bolts steel or titanium? They are supplied with high-strength steel bolts. For weight purists, it is possible to replace them with a titanium kit, although steel is preferred here for long-term reliability.
