Description

The PARK TOOL CC-4.2 Chain Wear Indicator is a go-to tool for quickly checking the condition of a bicycle chain. A worn chain impairs shifting and accelerates wear on other drivetrain components (cassette and chainrings), leading to much more costly repairs.

Made from laser-cut steel, this “go/no-go” gauge measures a long section of chain, making contact at three points for a precise, unambiguous reading. It accurately indicates the three wear thresholds generally recommended by manufacturers: 0.5%, 0.75% and 1.0%.

Compatible with all 5- to 13-speed chains (including SRAM T-Type, SRAM Flattop, 12-speed Shimano XTR and 13-speed Campagnolo Ekar) as well as single-speed chains, it works with almost all current drivetrains. Made in the USA, it is covered by the Park Tool limited lifetime warranty.
