SCOM ULTRA 40 Tubeless Ready Wheelset (Center Lock)

The SCOM ULTRA wheelset represents the pinnacle of SCOM performance and has established itself as a reference in professional competition. The rim is built on a composite architecture of Japanese TORAY T800/T1000 carbon fibres reinforced by a proprietary weave, optimising stiffness and aerodynamic efficiency. The profile integrates an advanced AERO approach with an exceptional CdA of 0.0801 at 40 km/h. 

The RAW Finish / Paint-Free finish showcases the raw carbon without the addition of paint or unnecessary decorative layers. This technology reduces weight by 20 to 30 grams per rim while offering a premium look that is highly appreciated in the world of high-end cycling.

The wheels use VONOA carbon spokes with mechanical locking, offering a resistance of over 450 KGF. This technology guarantees instant reactivity and unparalleled lateral stiffness compared to traditional steel spokes. The design ensures extreme durability and an immediate response during accelerations, sprints and demanding climbs.

The SCOM one-piece hubs are equipped with a Ratchet system 36 teeth whose optimised tooth profile improves smoothness and transmission efficiency. This design groups the two Ratchet rings into a single, self-contained module, replacing the traditional assembly. This innovation improves operational precision, reduces mechanical play and considerably facilitates maintenance, particularly during bearing operations. The TRIPEAK ceramic bearings, technical partner of the XDS ASTANA and LIDL-Trek teams, reduce friction while increasing durability. The oversized flange design further enhances the lateral stiffness of the whole assembly.
