SCOM RACE Tubeless Ready Wheel Pair (Center Lock)

The SCOM RACE wheelset combines aerodynamics, lightweight and efficiency to meet the demands of cyclists looking for high-performance and reliable equipment. It benefits from carbon layup optimisation that increases stiffness by 5% while reducing weight. Specific reinforcement of the rim at spoke holes also improves the mechanical strength and longevity of the assembly.

Weighing just 1310 g, this wheelset perfectly combines lightweight and efficiency. The VONOA ST SUPER AERO 5.2 mm carbon spokes provide an excellent balance between lightweight, aerodynamics and lateral stiffness, promoting direct power transmission and precise handling. They incorporate a unique mechanical locking system, eliminating the durability and resistance limitations typically associated with traditional bonded carbon spokes. This innovation achieves a breaking strength of over 450 KGF as well as excellent fatigue resistance, guaranteeing a virtually unlimited service life under normal conditions of use.

SCOM monobloc hubs are equipped with a 36-tooth Ratchet system whose optimised teeth improve transmission smoothness and efficiency. This design combines both Ratchet rings into a single, self-contained module, replacing the traditional assembly. This innovation improves operational precision, reduces mechanical play and greatly simplifies maintenance, particularly during bearing operations. The TRIPEAK ceramic bearings, technical partner of the XDS ASTANA and LIDL-Trek teams, reduce friction while increasing durability. The oversized flange design further enhances the lateral stiffness of the assembly. 

The RAW Finish / Paint-Free finish showcases the raw carbon without unnecessary paint or decorative layers. This technology reduces weight by 20 to 30 grams per rim while delivering a premium look highly appreciated in the world of premium cycling. These wheels also benefit from UCI homologation for use in competition.
