SCOM EVO 50 Tubeless Ready Wheelset (Center Lock)

The wheelset SCOM EVO has been designed for cyclists seeking an optimal balance between efficiency, stability and durability. The rim structure is built from Japanese Toray T800 carbon fibre with targeted and extended reinforcements in Toray T1000. This focused approach eliminates any superfluous material to reduce weight whilst maintaining high lateral stiffness. The result delivers a light and efficient ride on hilly terrain as well as during dynamic climbs.

The Raw Finish without superfluous paint reduces weight while revealing the natural texture of the carbon. This technology highlights the UD fibres visible under certain angles of light, a sign of premium and authentic craftsmanship. The aerodynamic rim profile promotes excellent air penetration and improves stability in crosswinds, while ensuring a smooth transition between the tyre and the rim.

The SCOM hubs developed in-house feature a modular design facilitating maintenance and conversions. The Ratchet system 36 teeth ensures rapid engagement and particularly stable power transfer during accelerations. This design groups the two Ratchet rings into a single, self-contained module, replacing the traditional assembly. This innovation improves operational precision, reduces mechanical play and considerably facilitates maintenance, particularly during bearing operations.

The wider flanges allow a better balance of tension between both sides of the wheel to optimise stiffness and steering precision. This technical architecture helps to limit energy losses and improve the overall behaviour of the wheel under intensive use.

The wheels are built with SAPIM CX-Ray spokes, renowned for their titanium-like lightness and excellent results in resistance and wear tests. Their aerodynamic profile contributes to the overall efficiency of the wheel.

Each component undergoes intensive testing simulating real-world stresses to ensure lasting reliability and consistent performance for the most demanding cyclists. These wheels also benefit from UCI homologation for use in competition.
