The CRANKBROTHERS SYNTHESIS Carbon XCT I9 Hydra wheelset has been designed to offer optimal control and maximum stability during rides and competitions in cross-country and on light trails. Thanks to a differentiated design between the front and rear wheels, each component is optimised to meet the specific demands of modern XC riding: manoeuvrability, speed, precision and robustness.

The front wheel, more compliant, benefits from a specific carbon rim profile with an internal width of 26.5 mm, allowing a better footprint on the ground and excellent vibration absorption. This configuration maximises grip in technical corners and improves rider confidence on rough terrain.

At the rear, rigidity is prioritised to ensure efficient power transfer and better stability in fast sections or demanding climbs. The reinforced carbon rim with an internal width of 24.5 mm offers a fast and dynamic profile, ideal for maintaining speed while resisting impacts.

The Industry Nine Hydra hubs, machined in the United States, deliver near-instantaneous engagement of 0.52°, perfect for technical re-accelerations and obstacle clearance. Complemented by lightweight bladed Sapim CX-Ray spokes, chosen for their excellent weight-to-strength ratio, these components guarantee a smooth, reliable and responsive wheel.
