Description
The WOLF TOOTH 12V SRAM Direct Mount 8-bolt Offset 3mm Oval Single Chainring offers a high-performance solution to optimise MTB drivetrain efficiency. Designed for SRAM T-Type groupsets, it improves pedalling efficiency thanks to its oval shape and Drop-Stop® B tooth profile, promoting excellent chain retention.
Compatible with Direct Mount 8-bolt fittings, this chainring guarantees rigidity and ease of installation. The 3mm offset achieves an optimal chainline of 55 mm on SRAM DUB Wide cranksets, ensuring smooth and silent drivetrain performance.
Wolf Tooth's oval PowerTrac design improves power, traction and reduces gear changes, while maintaining smooth and natural pedalling. Thanks to a variation in diameter, the chainring optimises effort between the Power Zone (maximum power) and the Recovery Zone (reduced effort), acting as two chainrings in one.
Made from 7075-T6 aluminium, it combines lightness and durability. Its machined design ensures effective mud evacuation and increased reliability, even in extreme conditions.
Why switch to a Wolf Tooth chainring instead of the original? Wolf Tooth is renowned for the precision of its machining and the durability of its aluminium. The Drop-Stop tooth profile is often considered more effective at retaining the chain over the long term than standard profiles, while remaining extremely quiet.
Is it compatible with the new SRAM T-Type (AXS) drivetrains? Yes, the Drop-Stop B version is specifically designed to be compatible with the Flattop chains of the new SRAM Transmission. It is the ideal choice for replacing an original chainring or changing the tooth count (moving from 32 to 34 teeth, for example).
Are the mounting bolts included? Generally, you should use the original bolts from your SRAM crankset. Be sure to follow the recommended torque settings to avoid any deformation of the interface.
How do I choose the right offset? Most modern mountain bikes use a 3 mm offset (Boost). If in doubt, check the marking on your current chainring or your bike's technical specifications.
