The MICROSHIFT ADVENT MX 1x11-speed G-Series HG groupset is the brand’s most advanced 11-speed MTB drivetrain, in a version for standard Shimano HG freehub bodies: there’s no need to buy a specific hub, and it fits the vast majority of wheels on the market.
The MX Trail Trigger shifter reduces the engagement angle to 3° from the previous 12°: shifts happen almost instantly. The MX Pro derailleur has an aluminium cage, sealed-bearing jockey wheels, IGUS bushings and a clutch claimed to be 33 % firmer than the previous generation.
What’s in the groupset? The SL-M7115-R right-hand shifter, MX Pro RD-M7015M rear derailleur and G-Series CS-EG116 11-50 cassette. Neither a chain nor a crankset is included.
Why choose this over the XD version? For compatibility with your current wheels, and for the weight: the HG cassette weighs a claimed 485 g versus 550 g for the XD, with exactly the same sprocket sizes.
