Description

Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon tyre 27.5x2.80 Exo 3C Tubeless Ready folding bead is also designed for Cross-Country competition on a 27.5 PLUS standard bike, but is built for highly technical terrain requiring more grip and control.

Featuring a 120 tpi casing, this version uses the MaxxTerra triple compound, offering an excellent compromise with better traction and more grip than MaxxSpeed and higher rolling efficiency than MaxxGrip.

In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be mounted with or without an inner tube, the tyre is also fitted with Exo sidewall reinforcement providing increased protection against abrasion and tearing.

MAXXIS REKON tire

"Originally fitted to my VTTAE Moustache. 3rd replacement on the rear wheel. Good grip, comfortable. Holds pressure well."

Charlie91 (5/5)

tire good everywhere

"excellent rear mounted tire it's my third train 3500 km 1 puncture and 1 cut on the sidewall that forced me to throw the tire away"

Ilanet63 (4/5)

Satisfied

"Very good tire with high sidewall strength that avoids tearing as much as possible, even though it can still happen. Soft rubber that doesn't wear out quickly if you stay on the trails, but avoid road sections that take a greater toll on the rubber. Personally, I recommend this tire for tubeless use, as it offers the maximum of its capabilities in this case. Don't hesitate to "slam" the tire during mounting, so that it settles into place correctly (the use of a compressor is highly recommended!) This tire replaces its ancestor in the same category, with which I've covered over 3,000 km, so I'm all the more satisfied."

Fabienbo (5/5)

satisfied

"Easy to mount, good resistance and grip. Gum a little soft, wears out fairly quickly."
