Description

Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon tyre 27.5x2.60 Exo Dual Tubeless Ready folding bead is, like it, designed for competition Cross-Country, but it is designed for highly technical terrain requiring more grip and control. Taller, its knobs are also larger and fewer in number than those of the Ikon.

In this Tubeless Ready version that can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tyre also features the Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls, providing additional protection against abrasion and tears.

Jean J. (5/5)

Maxxis Rekkon tires

"Very good grip on this tire. . . but really soft on the sidewalls. Beware of descents that are too stony."

Spiderxav (5/5)

maxxis rekon at the top of its game

"performs its function well good grip handles low pressure well"

Paragliding07 (5/5)

Very good tire

"Grip and solidity on dry ground. Low energy consumption on VAE"

Abonneau (5/5)

too fragile

"1st fitment. High-performance tire, but excessively fragile. The sidewalls are too fragile, numerous perforations (tubeless mounting) requiring the installation of wicks. I had to give up on this tire because of a sidewall tear when it was not yet worn."

Hvda (2/5)

good tire for VTTAE

"Tires I've been using for 18 months; 4500 kms for the rear tire, 6000kms for the front tire"
