Description
Dedicated to aggressive riders, the MAXXIS Minion DHR II 27.5x2.40 WT Exo+ 3C MaxxTerra Tubeless Ready tyre with folding bead is designed for Enduro/Freeride racing on dry to loose terrain.
Completely redesigned, it offers even further improved performance whether accelerating, cornering or braking. The wide side knobs make it easier to initiate a turn, while the denser grooved centre tread guarantees excellent control. The triple MaxxTerra rubber compound also offers an excellent compromise with better traction and more grip than MaxxSpeed, and higher rolling efficiency than MaxxGrip.
In this version, it features Exo+ reinforcement, which combines Exo and SilkShield protection for total resistance against abrasion and tears, and can be fitted with or without an inner tube. It should also be noted that the casing has been optimised for mounting on a rim with an internal width of 35 mm.
Ideal at the rear, it can be paired with the DHF at the front for incredible efficiency.

"I've always ridden with Exo DHRII tires on the rear without any problems. I opted for an Exo+ this time for a little more protection on an enduro race without going beyond the DH carcasses. 2 rides out, the rubber is as good as new but the tire tore 1.5cm down the sidewall when it pinched with the rim, even though it was inflated to 28psi. It's not even usable with an inner tube, it's bubbling through the gash. I have a doubt, bad luck or a manufacturing problem . ."

"As I'm not a very good judge of these matters, I'd settle for saying that this tire offers me an interesting price/performance/weight ratio. Indeed, as I have a good deal of confidence in the DHR2, I haven't tried any other model and am therefore limited in my criticism. But it does offer reassuring grip under braking and cornering, and a very respectable lifespan."
