Description

The MAXXIS Ikon 27.5 x 2.20" tyre is a model that excels in its versatility in Cross Country racing!

It offers excellent rolling efficiency thanks to its generous volume and profile specifically designed for speed. The dual compound rubber is very hard (70a and 60a), guaranteeing low rolling resistance to devour the trails.

With its generously sized and very comfortable section, it will be ideal for technical courses, while still tipping the scales at a very reasonable weight.
In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, the MAXXIS Ikon tyre is also equipped with Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls, providing increased protection against abrasion and tears.

Reviews

Versatile

"Versatile tire, good grip and low friction. Good longevity. Rear-mounted with Forekaster in front."

Divico (5/5)

Much heavier than advertised 720g ????

"Purchased to save weight on my running gear which is very important since they are in motion and at the end of the wheels, weight advertised 600g weight verified 715g on two tires identified very disappointed especially for the price".

Madrid30 (3/5)

An exceptionally light tire

"in combination with the Mavic Crossmax 27.5" wheel, it was almost impossible to mount the tire: it's a bit too small for this rim. I couldn't mount the tire myself, even the bike store mechanic took 45 minutes to mount it. Now that I've done 75 km with it, it's a very responsive and light tire/wheel unit. It's not very grippy in the mud, I'm sure it will be an excellent tire on dry ground."

Hans76 (4/5)

good rear-mount tire

"used in the hills of the Var on all soils and in all weathers for xc/rando/trail ."

Gil83bis (5/5)

Impeccable

"Very good grip, so very good value for money".

Cypres (4/5)

Why not

"Very good tire for rolling, no unpleasant surprises. On the other hand, it was a real pain to inflate the tubeless tire."

Brunel (3/5)

Fine

"For the moment, tubeless tires are at their best. To be seen this week in the mountains!"

Seb2323 (5/5)
