KMC Go Max Wax Lubricant 80 ml

The KMC GO WAX is a high-performance wax-based lubricant designed to drastically reduce friction and wear on your drivetrain. Unlike traditional oils that trap dirt, GO WAX creates a dry, biodegradable protective film that prevents dust and sand from sticking to the links.

1. How do I apply GO WAX for the first time? This is the most important step: the chain must be perfectly degreased (bare metal) and dry before the first application. Apply one drop on each link, turn the pedals, then leave to dry for at least 2 to 4 hours (ideally overnight) to allow the wax to harden.

2. Do I need to clean my chain between applications? No, that's the advantage of wax! A simple wipe with a dry cloth to remove surface dust is enough before applying a thin layer of GO WAX again.

3. Is GO WAX resistant to rain? Wax is more sensitive to moisture than thick oil. If you ride in heavy rain, it is advisable to clean and re-lubricate your chain once back home to avoid the appearance of superficial rust spots.

4. Can I mix this lubricant with regular oil? Absolutely not. Mixing oil and wax creates an ineffective sticky paste. If you wish to switch to wax, a complete degreasing of the drivetrain is mandatory.
