KÄRCHER SH 5 Handheld Suction Hose

The Kärcher SH 5 Handheld suction hose (ref. 2.644-124.0) gives your portable medium pressure washer complete autonomy. Thanks to its generous length of 5 metres, it allows your machine (KHB or OC 6-18) to draw water directly from free or collected alternative sources: buckets, rainwater tanks, jerry cans or clear waterways.

This is both an economical and ecological solution, which avoids using mains drinking water for your outdoor cleaning tasks. Fitted with an integrated suction filter, it effectively retains dirt particles to protect your machine's pump from premature wear.

How do you use this hose for the first time (priming)? To make things easier for the pump, it is advisable to fill the hose with water before connecting it to the machine. Submerge the filter strainer in your water source, connect the other end to your portable washer, then pull the trigger. The machine will create the necessary vacuum to maintain a continuous flow of water.

Can this hose be used in any body of water or swimming pool? The hose is fitted with a filter to retain debris (leaves, small stones, sand). However, make sure to use fresh, visually clear water. Never draw salt water (salt rapidly destroys the pump), heavily chlorinated pool water, or very muddy water that would instantly clog the filter.

Is this hose compatible with standard high pressure washers in the "K" range (K 2 to K 7)? No. This SH 5 "Handheld" model is fitted with connectors adapted to the flow rate and size of portable medium pressure machines (KHB and OC 6-18). For standard high pressure washers in the "K" range, there is a specific suction hose called the SH 5 (ref. 2.643-100.0) which has the appropriate diameter and connections.
