Description

Favoured by the Commencal Enduro team, the HUTCHINSON Toro 27.5x2.25 Sideskin Tubeless Ready tyre with folding bead is at home on mixed to loose terrain, and is designed for committed riding.

The more open side knobs provide ultra-high-performance grip, while the reduced knobs on the tread optimise rolling efficiency and aid mud clearance. The sharp, abrupt edges offer very good traction. The structural rubber reinforcing the knobs also allows the tyre to absorb the most powerful braking forces.

In this version, the Toro from HUTCHINSON is equipped with the Sideskin reinforcement for light and effective protection against cuts, punctures and heavy impacts.

Ideal as a rear tyre, the Toro 2.25 pairs perfectly with a 2.35 at the front for optimal performance.

Mountain bike tire

"Haven't put it on the bike yet, but I'm planning to this fall!"

Salto42 (4/5)

Compliant tire

"Nice design, good grip, no flats so far. Installed on an e-bike, they're better than my original tires."

Lucho15 (5/5)

Good tire

"Good grip and easy to install. I've tried several models from this brand and am very satisfied."

Marc (5/5)

Toro

"Fitted with 2/25 tires on the rear, excellent traction in mud."

Bushel (5/5)

Great headline!

"When mounted on the rear wheel, pressure is 1.6 bar without an inner tube. For all-mountain riding, mud, wet conditions, or even dry conditions... it's always top-notch! Installation isn't too difficult; it snaps into place with the first pump and sits perfectly. However, you need 100 ml of puncture-proof sealant and have to make sure the sealant gets everywhere . . . very porous tire!"

Anonymous (5/5)

A good tire for wet conditions.

"Use in very wet or muddy conditions. The tire grips well and handles responsively."

Mike95 (5/5)

I can't wait for the rain

"Very good product—tested only on dry ground so far; it remains to be seen how well it performs on looser, wetter terrain."

Jeanpeuplu55 (5/5)

Grip, flexibility, and lightness

"I was riding the Toro 27.5 x 2.25 Hardskin Race Ripost XC. I found that tire to be pretty heavy and stiff; the knobs wore down and cracked, and I wasn't too impressed... but this cheaper version of the Toro gives me a completely different ride! The rubber is softer, the tire is more flexible, lighter, and more comfortable, and the grip is on another level—I’m really surprised by such a difference. This tire suits my trail/enduro-oriented riding style much better. No flats to report so far; the previous one, even though it was a hardskin, didn’t spare me any trouble, so this one’s been flawless so far. The only thing left to compare is durability, but the previous one once again didn’t shine in that area—it lasted only 1,000 km before becoming too risky on muddy terrain—so this new Toro Side Skin in 2.25 has a good chance."
