The HUTCHINSON Taipan 29x2.10 Tubeless Ready folding bead tyre is a model that prioritises rolling efficiency, light weight and grip. At home on mixed, rocky or wet terrain, it provides notably good lateral mud clearance thanks to the V-shaped knob blocks while delivering excellent lateral grip.

Value for money

"I bought this tire for winter use on the rear wheel. The 2.10 is perfect—not too hard to install. Especially in my area, which gets very muddy in the winter (the Mayenne region). It grips well and is quick to install. It should hold up well against wear."

Th53 (5/5)

Compliant

"An all-terrain tire that performs well on wet surfaces. It meets my expectations."

Mathieuv (5/5)

fragile tire

"Fragile tire—got a puncture on the rocky terrain down south, even with the puncture-resistant tire... also had trouble keeping it airtight"

Guillaume (2/5)

Manufacturing defect, repeated flat tire

"The tire has a tear on the sidewall; I got three flats in a single ride. I recommend the reinforced version."

Matt72 (1/5)

worn tires

"A great tire in all conditions, with good durability and strength"

Anonymous (4/5)

A good compromise

"Good grip in wet conditions, and best of all, mud doesn't stick to the tire. It rolls surprisingly well on paved roads. I'm surprised to see 'HardSkin' printed on the sidewall—it isn't mentioned in the description. The weight is high for a 2.1-inch tire, measured at 770g. Mounted tubeless on 24mm carbon rims (easy installation and pump blowout), it’s a good compromise in terms of comfort and durability."

Pascal99 (4/5)

Great tire on the rear wheel

"The best rear tire I've found for dry and muddy terrain. The rubber is soft, so it wears out pretty quickly, but that's to be expected."

Gyann (5/5)

Just right

"Great traction no matter the terrain or weather. Dust, sand, mud—it grips."

Aurel1 (5/5)

Fast and efficient probikeshop

"Great all-terrain tires and top-notch service from ProBikeShop"

Giulia (5/5)

Good tire

"Flexible tire; relatively easy to install. Be sure to install it in the correct direction."
