Description
The HOPE RX24 700C PRO 5 Standard front wheel, 12 x 110 mm Boost, 32 spokes, blue pairs the RX24 aluminium rim with the Pro 5 hub. It is designed and assembled by Hope in Barnoldswick, England. This is the brand’s versatile gravel wheel: its low-profile rim and robust, repairable aluminium construction are intended for long-distance trails and bikepacking as well as weekend rides.
The rim is made from welded 6069 aluminium, shot-blasted and then black anodised, with neutral grey decals. Its 24 mm internal width and 23 mm depth accommodate 32 to 50 mm tyres set up tubeless, and tyres up to 60 mm for wider setups. It comes with rim tape fitted and an aluminium tubeless valve matching the hub colour. Hope specifies a maximum system weight of 130 kg, including bike and luggage.
This wheel uses J-Bend spokes, the most widely available standard: any bike workshop can supply a replacement spoke, which matters on a touring bike. The black double-butted Sapim Race spokes and brass nipples favour durability over saving a few grams, in keeping with the wheel’s intended use.
The Pro 5 hub uses Hope’s own pawl mechanism, with a 54-tooth ratchet ring and six offset pawls providing 108 engagement points, or 3.33° between engagement points. The bearings are replaceable, and most wear parts remain available individually.
Wheel sold individually. Choose a 6-bolt or Centerlock disc mount from the available variants.
