GIRO SWITCHBLADE MIPS MTB Helmet Grey/Yellow

The Switchblade Mips by GIRO is an incredibly versatile helmet with its removable chin guard. Designed for demanding disciplines and in particular for DH competition, it has all the necessary safety certifications, including ASTM-1952-DH, whether the chin guard is in place or not. It is easy to install/remove as it simply requires pressing a button located on the underside and rotating it.

The helmet structure, based on an In-Mold design (ABS outer shell / EPS liner), is extremely robust, notably thanks to a series of internal anchors moulded directly into the EPS foam. Safety is further enhanced by Mips technology, which very significantly reduces impact in the event of a fall by distributing the shockwave across the entire surface of the helmet. The Roc Loc Air DH Fit adjustment system also ensures a perfect fit and maximum stability.

Comfort is also very much present with 20 ventilation tunnels located in both the main shell and the chin guard, ensuring excellent airflow throughout the effort. Furthermore, the Switchblade features hydrophilic foam pads capable of absorbing up to ten times their weight in water, for highly effective sweat absorption, with an X-Static antimicrobial coating.

The finish is very refined as this helmet is optimised for fitting a protective goggle via the P.O.V. Plus visor and features a spare visor allowing a camera to be mounted.

All this for a weight under 1,000 grams and an ultra-aggressive price.
