DT Swiss XMC 320 29" 30 mm Rim

The Rim DT Swiss XMC 320 is a high-end bare carbon rim dedicated to All-Mountain and committed Trail riding. What is the major difference between this XMC 320 and the XRC 310 for Cross-Country? Although they share the same 30 mm internal width and a high-end carbon DNA, their internal structures differ. The XRC 310 is optimised for absolute lightness in XC (ASTM category 3). The XMC 320 features a reinforced carbon layup at strategic points to reach ASTM category 4. It is designed to withstand higher drops (up to 1.20 m) and much more punishing descents in the mountains, at the cost of a few extra grams fully justified by its robustness.

Which tyres should I fit on this rim? The Hookless profile imposes the use of Tubeless Ready or Tubeless certified tyres (whose beads do not stretch under pressure). With 30 mm between the walls, favour sections of 2.40 to 2.50, which will allow you to run lower pressures for supreme comfort and maximum grip with no risk of tyre blow-off.

Is it suitable for mounting on an E-MTB (E-Bike)? Yes, absolutely. DT Swiss validates the XMC 320 rim for a total weight of 120 kg and approves it for the stresses of electrically assisted bikes. Its high lateral stiffness is an excellent asset for handling motor torque and battery weight in hard corners.
