The CRANKBROTHERS Pedal Stamp Evo represents the new generation of flat pedals from Crankbrothers. Its major innovation is a platform that is 20% longer than the Stamp 7, offering exceptional support across the entire footbed. This reduces fatigue on long descents and improves pedalling efficiency.
It also introduces an innovative dual-material construction: a forged aluminium body for strength, paired with interchangeable composite bashguards (protectors) on the outer edges. These pads protect the pedal body against rock strikes and help the pedal slide over obstacles rather than catching on them.
What is the main difference compared to the Stamp 7? The Stamp Evo is longer and has replaceable side guards. It offers a superior "locked-in" feeling of stability, particularly useful in rough terrain.
What are the plastic bashguards for? In addition to protecting the aluminium, they allow the pedal to "slide" over a rock instead of bringing the bike to an abrupt stop. They are a wear item that keeps your pedals in like-new condition for longer.
Is it easy to maintain? Yes, Crankbrothers has retained easy access for greasing. It is fully serviceable with overhaul kits available if you notice any play after several seasons.
Are replacement pins included? Yes, the box generally contains a spare set of pins and a pair of replacement bashguards to anticipate maintenance needs.
