The CRANKBROTHERS Pedal Stamp Evo Large is the direct evolution of the acclaimed Stamp 7, redesigned to offer an even more generous contact platform. With a 20% longer platform, it is designed for riders with large feet or those seeking a "full platform" feel underfoot.
Its unique hybrid construction combines an ultra-thin forged aluminium body and interchangeable composite bashguards (edge protectors). These act as shields: they absorb impacts against rocks and allow the pedal to slide over obstacles rather than catching on them. It is the ultimate pedal for Downhill (DH) and extreme Enduro riding.
I'm a size 43, should I go for the Small or the Large? Size 43 is right on the border. If you prefer a compact pedal to avoid impacts (manoeuvrability), go for the Small. If you want maximum stability and comfort on long descents (DH/Enduro), the Large is the better choice.
Are the plastic bashguards sturdy? Yes, they are made from a very dense technical composite. Their role is to be "sacrificed" during a heavy impact in order to protect the pedal body. They can be replaced in a few minutes with a simple Allen key.
Why is this pedal longer than the previous model? Feedback from pro riders showed that a longer pedal helps stabilise the foot from front to back, which reduces muscle fatigue in the calves during very rough sections.
Is maintenance complicated? No, Crankbrothers pedals are well known for their ease of maintenance. A grease port allows you to replenish the grease without fully dismantling the pedal.
