Description
The Forward Joyride V2 chainring is the high-end redesign of the Joyride. The core concept remains unchanged — a block of 6061-T6 aluminium CNC-machined and flat-cut to deliver a high-precision component whose design increases stiffness and reduces lateral flex — but the overall execution is significantly upgraded.
The difference is evident in the finishing: machined chamfers across the entire design, and especially a 12 mm chamfer on the bolt nut recesses, which significantly improves hardware retention and load distribution under torque. The thickness remains 5 mm, here in a 5-bolt mount, 110 mm BCD — the historic BMX Race standard found on many spiders, including older generations.
This anodised red version offers the widest range of options in the 5-bolt line-up, from 35 to 42 teeth. Important assembly note: Forward recommends chainring nuts of at least 6.5 mm to properly engage the chamfer — check this before reusing your existing bolts.
