Description
The Forward Joyride V2 chainring is the high-end redesign of the Joyride. The core concept remains unchanged — a block of 6061-T6 aluminium CNC-machined and flat-cut to deliver a high-precision component whose design increases stiffness and reduces lateral flex — but the overall execution is significantly upgraded.
The difference is evident in the finishing: machined chamfers across the entire design, and especially a 12 mm chamfer on the bolt nut recesses, which significantly improves hardware retention and load distribution under torque. All of this weighs just 118 g, with a 5 mm thickness and a 104 mm 4-bolt BCD.
The black finish is the most understated and versatile: it blends into any build, perfectly highlighting the contrast of the machined chamfers. Available from 36 to 44 teeth. Important assembly note: Forward recommends chainring nuts of at least 6.5 mm to properly engage the chamfer — check this before reusing your existing bolts.
