The Forward Joyride chainring is the brand's accessible performance option for BMX Race. CNC-machined from aluminium and flat-cut to ensure high precision, it relies on a design that increases stiffness and limits lateral flex — the main flaw of an overly flexible chainring, which results in power loss precisely when you need it most.
This is the 5-bolt, 110 mm BCD version: the classic BMX Race standard found on many spiders, including older generations. With a 5 mm thickness, it sits above the category average, directly contributing to its torque resistance out of the start gate.
The raw polished finish reveals the machined aluminium and matches any setup without imposing a specific colour. Available from 36 to 42 teeth. Note: the 5-bolt Joyride is the most affordable in the Forward range, making it an excellent spare chainring or second-bike option. Non-threaded bolt holes: make sure to use a suitable chainring bolt and nut set.
