Description

The SHIMANO 11V E8000 chain is a high-performance and durable model, developed for the Shimano Steps E8000 motor series.

Its E-BIKE design is specifically intended for 11-speed and single-chainring drivetrains, making this chain clearly dedicated to use on an electric bike.

It features the SIL-TEC surface treatment with a reduced friction coefficient, high wear resistance and low maintenance requirements. This model offers a firmer grip on the chainring thanks to an extension on the ends of the inner plates. Additionally, it is equipped with a simple and efficient Quick-Link quick-release fitting system.

This is my second channel because

"This is my second chain because it's designed for e-bikes and has a much longer lifespan than the other chains I've used."

CONSISTENT WITH THE PRODUCT OFFERED AND

"IN LINE WITH THE PRODUCT OFFERED AND COMPETITIVE IN TERMS OF PRICE"

Benoit R. (5/5)

Manufacturing defect.

"This is my second one of this type; the first one was excellent, but this one is mediocre because it definitely has a manufacturing defect—the test pin on the new chain goes in at 0.075."

Core product

"Another great product from Shimano—a sleeker design would be the icing on the cake."

Philread (5/5)

Durability, reliability.

"Well-designed for e-MTBs. Replaced the original one after 2,400 km (0.1 wear). Replaced the E8000 E-BIKE after 3,500 km (0.75 wear) at the same time as the cassette."

Moutchico80 (5/5)

Excellent product

"A chain that's just right for my mountain bike—I can keep an eye on the wear and tear."

Fafa44 (5/5)

The perfect chain for e-MTBs

"After a KMC chain broke on my Turbo Levo and an SRAM X1 chain wore out very quickly, this is the second Shimano E8000 chain I've used. I rode 1,600 km on the first one (still at 0.75), and I’ve already done 1,300 km on this one, and the chain length is still under 0.75. Plus, no rust after washing, smooth shifting (SRAM GX drivetrain), and noticeably quiet operation. It is, however, a bit pricey and hard to find in 128 links. I highly recommend this chain for e-MTBs!"

.

"This is already the second Shimano E8000 chain I've put on my e-bike, and I'm still very happy with it!! Whereas a standard chain starts to stretch—in my case, at 700–800 km—this one doesn't start to stretch until 1,500 km. Of course, it's more expensive. . . . . . !"

Runtime ??? on the STEP 8000 motor

"Rapid elongation over just 200 km. Already 0.5 using the calibration tool. We'll have to see how it develops over time."

Levrel (3/5)

Shimano Chain for E-MTBs

"I ordered this chain to replace the original one on my e-MTB. It has 1,500 km on it and shows no signs of wear or stretching so far. Shimano quality at a premium price."
