Description

The SUNRACE CSMX8 cassette is a high-end model ensuring extremely smooth gear changes for your 11-speed drivetrain.

Benefiting from a very fine finish, this cassette is constructed in three parts with two hi-ten steel sprocket blocks and four individual sprockets made from the same material, except for the last one, which is made from 7075 aluminium to reduce weight.

Superb in its black colourway, it is offered here in 11-40, 11-42 and 11-46 tooth versions, providing great versatility while maintaining good ratio progression.

"Good value for the money. Better gear spacing than the Shimano 11/46. A little heavier, but considering the price, you can't ask for more! Paired with a Shimano SLX 11-speed derailleur (medium cage) and a Shimano SLX chain. I recommend this cassette."

Prone to breakage on the two smallest sprockets

"The two smallest sprockets are fragile. It's frustrating to have to replace a cassette just because the last two sprockets are worn out and the chain keeps skipping! Even though the other nine are in perfect condition. It's cheap, but we get it. The problem with Shimano is the spacing of the two largest sprockets; so SUNRACE by default."
