"This isn't the first pair I've used so I'm on familiar ground. ... I put them on the rear of my mountain bike combined with organic ones on the front. AM/rando MTB use They continue to brake well, even on long descents that seriously raise pad temperature. As far as I'm concerned, there's no braking noise and they don't wear out very quickly.
