ASSOS CHAMOIS CREME 75ml Chamois Cream

The Assos Chamois Crème is an absolute and essential reference in the cycling world, whether for road, MTB or Gravel. Specially formulated to reduce friction between the skin and the bib short's chamois pad, this cream effectively protects against irritation, chafing and saddle soreness.

This compact 75 ml pot format is ideal for travel, race weekends or slipping straight into your kit bag without taking up space. Its unique formula hydrates the skin, provides a pleasant cooling sensation on application and has antibacterial properties to prevent infection caused by perspiration on long rides.

How and where should chamois cream be applied? Two methods are available depending on your preferences. You can apply a thin layer directly onto your skin (at the contact points with the saddle and in the groin folds). For maximum effectiveness on very long distances, we also recommend applying a thin layer directly onto the chamois pad of your bib shorts at key points, before putting them on.

Does it stain or damage bib shorts? Not at all. Assos's formula was developed by and for cyclists wearing premium apparel. Unlike creams based on pure petroleum jelly or udder cream which clog silicone fibres and waterproof the pad, Assos cream preserves the breathability of the chamois pad and washes out completely in the machine from 30°C.

Is there a difference with the "Woman" version? Yes. Assos also offers a specific "Woman" version. The classic cream (this 75 ml pot) is unisex and suitable for the vast majority of cyclists. However, the women's version has an adapted pH and an even gentler formula, completely free of menthol, to respect the sensitivity of female mucous membranes and avoid any tingling sensation.
