ZIPP ZR1 12x142mm Rear Hub

The ZIPP ZR1 12x142mm rear hub features on ZIPP's Firecrest wheel range and is the result of over two years of development in partnership with the SRAM technical centre in Schweinfurt, Germany. It incorporates key technologies from the top-tier Cognition hub: identical seal design, same bearing sizes, and a large dust cap behind the freehub body, providing proven durability tested over more than 58,500 km.

Its 6-pawl design, split into two groups of three, delivers 66 points of engagement for immediate pickup when accelerating. The freehub body is engineered to keep the pawls in place during disassembly, greatly simplifying maintenance. Compatible with J-bend spokes and Center Lock disc rotors, this 12x142mm thru-axle hub is available with SRAM XDR or Shimano HG freehub bodies, in 24 or 28 holes, and is approved for light e-bikes (motor torque ≤ 55 Nm).
