REDSHIFT SHOCKSTOP 1"1/8 +/-6° Suspended Stem

The REDSHIFT SHOCKSTOP 1"1/8 +6/-6° Suspended Stem is designed to improve riding comfort without compromising steering precision. Its integrated suspension system offers up to 20 mm of travel, effectively reducing vibrations, shocks and fatigue in the hands, arms and shoulders. This design allows a performance-oriented position to be maintained while increasing control on road as well as on trails.

Its mechanism uses a system of interchangeable elastomers to adapt the suspension to the rider's weight and riding style. Made from 6061-T6 aluminium, this stem combines robustness, rigidity and durability. Its reversible +6°/-6° angle makes position adjustment straightforward, while its compatibility with 31.8 mm handlebars and 1"1/8 (28.6 mm) fork steerers allows integration on the majority of modern bikes.

Intended for road, gravel or light off-road use (ASTM F2043 Class 2), the ShockStop provides smoother and more stable handling on degraded surfaces. Its design minimises energy losses caused by vibrations while maintaining dynamic behaviour. It is a high-performance solution for increasing comfort on long rides without altering the bike's handling characteristics.

Does the stem feel like it sinks when pedalling? No. By choosing the right combination of elastomers for your weight, the stem remains neutral in the normal position and only compresses when going over a bump or rough surface.

Is it difficult to change the elastomers? No, the operation takes a few minutes. Simply open the front cap of the stem, remove the handlebar and insert the desired elastomer combination.

Can a computer or light mount be fitted to this stem? Yes, Redshift offers specific integrated mounts (ShockStop Computer Mount) that attach directly to the stem cap.
