Description
The REDSHIFT Quick-Release Aerobars allow a road bike to be quickly transformed into a more aerodynamic machine thanks to their patented tool-free quick-release system. In a matter of seconds, the aerobars can be fitted or removed to adapt the bike to the type of outing. This solution provides a more efficient position into the wind while avoiding the constraints of a permanent installation.
Made from 6061-T6 aluminium, they offer a wide range of adjustments to optimise the rider's position. The extension length, setback, arm pad width and height can all be adjusted with precision. The extensions are available in S-Bend or L-Bend versions, while a secondary safety system prevents any accidental release during use.
Compatible with 31.8 mm handlebars (and 26.0 mm with optional shims), these aerobars are intended for road use. Their lightweight design, instant installation and adjustable ergonomics make them an ideal solution for improving aerodynamics on long rides, endurance events or competitions, while retaining the versatility of a road bike.
Comparison of variants: L-Bend vs S-Bend
| Feature | L-Bend version (Ski-Bend) | S-Bend version |
| Curvature profile | Raised to 90 degrees (ski pole shape) | Progressive S-curve |
| Wrist position | More upright, neutral and natural | Lower, flat and streamlined |
| Riding style | Long-distance comfort, upper body relaxation | Aggressive and compact position, pure power |
| Ideal use | Bikepacking, ultra-cycling, L/XL triathlons | S/M triathlons, time trials, intense efforts |
How do I choose between the L-Bend and S-Bend versions? Choose the L-Bend version if you prioritise comfort on multi-hour rides or bikepacking (relaxed wrists). Opt for the S-Bend version if you want a lower, more dynamic profile to generate maximum power on short to medium courses.
Do the handlebar clamps stay fitted when the aerobars are removed? Yes, the two discreet clamps remain permanently installed on the handlebar. The upper section unclips in the blink of an eye.
Can the arm pad height be adjusted? Yes, the optional spacer kit (Extension Riser Kit) allows the whole assembly to be raised by 15 mm or 30 mm.
