Description
The Odyssey Frequency G tyre is the signature model of Flatland legend Chase Gouin. A true cult tyre in the BMX Flatland scene, it was specifically developed to meet the technical demands of this discipline, where control, balance, and foot placement are essential.
Its rounded profile and fully knurled surface provide exceptional grip in all positions and across all riding surfaces (asphalt, smooth concrete, wooden floors). Its reinforced sidewalls and high-pressure casing holding up to 100 PSI maintain constant high pressure, guaranteeing low rolling resistance, ultra-smooth spins, and optimal foot contact during scuffing tricks.
Why is the width 1.75" when most modern BMX tyres are 2.25" or wider? In Flatland, narrow tyres (1.75' to 1.90') are preferred because they reduce weight, provide more clearance for feet between the tyre, fork, and frame, and ensure a much sharper response during low-speed manoeuvres.
Can this tyre be used for Street or Park riding? Although designed specifically for Flatland, it can suit riders who practice highly technical Street riding focused on balance and tech tricks, or for rebuilding Old School / Mid School-inspired BMX bikes. For heavy Street riding with harsh landings, a wider tyre will nevertheless be better suited.
