Description

The DMR DEATHGRIP 2 Flangeless Lock-on Solid Purple grips are the second generation of DMR’s iconic lock-on grips. This flangeless version provides an unobstructed grip along their full length. They are designed for dirt jumping, pump tracks, trail riding, enduro and downhill mountain biking.

Their design combines three patterns: a waffle pattern to help position your fingers, a mushroom pattern for thumb and index finger comfort, and knurling for grip across the surface in all weather conditions. The soft Kraton rubber feels supple and grippy.

The tapered core holds the grips securely without an outer clamp, using just one slim aluminium clamp with a stainless steel bolt tightened to 2 Nm. The end of the core remains exposed for durability and is closed with a moulded DMR end cap.

They come in two sizes: Medium (29,8 mm) and Large (31,3 mm). They are 135 mm long and weigh just 100 g per pair.

Frequently asked questions

What torque should I use for the clamp?

Tighten the clamp bolt to 2 Nm : just enough to stop the grip from rotating, without tightening it further. Replacement collars for the original Deathgrip are not compatible with the Deathgrip 2.

How do I fit these grips?

Clean and degrease the handlebar, allowing at least 130 mm of clear space per grip, then push the grip fully on, using a soft-faced mallet if necessary, to seat the tapered core properly before tightening the clamp.

What’s the difference between the Medium and Large sizes?

The Medium (29.8 mm) offers a slimmer, more direct feel; the Large (31.3 mm), being thicker, provides more cushioning, especially for larger hands. Both are 135 mm long.
