AERON SuperLite Race Alu Valve MTB Inner Tube 27.5-29"x1.7-2.5"

The AERON SuperLite Race Alu Valve MTB inner tube is the lightest TPU inner tube in the off-road range: 40 g claimed for a 1.7 to 2.5-inch range. On a 29-inch wheel, it reduces the rotating mass furthest from the hub — where every gram counts twice when accelerating.

It is rated Level 2 “Race / Maximum Performance” on the AERON scale: 100/100 for both weight saving and low rolling resistance, compared with 20 and 40 for butyl. The trade-off should be clear: for puncture protection, it scores 50/100, the same level as a conventional butyl tube — and less than the ExtraLite Protect, rated 75. Its TPU wall is thinner. This is an inner tube for cross-country and marathon riding on fast terrain, not rocky descents.

Its Presta valve body is aluminium with a removable valve core — stiffer than polymer and repairable independently of the inner tube, which matters off-road. 42 mm valve, compatible with 27.5 and 29-inch wheels. Made in Austria, from the RTI Sports group — the company behind Ergon.

Important: this inner tube is intended for bikes with disc brakes, which includes all modern mountain bikes.
