What does a "floating" axle offer over a standard one? On high-end forks, the alignment between the hub and the lower legs must be perfect to the millimetre. If the axle "pulls" on one lower leg, the stanchions no longer slide in a perfectly straight line. This axle allows the position to be locked without creating lateral tension, which frees up the suspension movement.

Is it compatible with Marzocchi forks? Yes, it is compatible with Marzocchi models that use FOX chassis (such as the Z1), provided they are equipped with the floating axle clamp system on the right lower leg.

Is it lighter than the original axle? Yes, if you are replacing a lever axle (Quick Release), the weight saving is significant. It is also a more robust and precise option than the standard Kabolt axle.

How is it installed? Installation follows the FOX procedure: fit the wheel, tighten the axle to the specified torque, compress the fork a few times to allow it to find its natural alignment, then tighten the small pinch bolt on the lower leg.
