Description
The backpack USWE Watt 25L is the ultimate backpack for long-distance e-MTB adventures. With its generous 25-litre volume, it solves the major problem of long E-MTB rides: carrying a second battery. It integrates a shielded and ultra-stable central compartment specially designed to secure a spare battery as close to the back as possible, preventing it from moving or injuring the rider in the event of a fall.
To support the considerable weight of an electric battery and riding gear, this pack uses the reinforced NDM™ 2.0 (No Dancing Monkey) harness combined with a supportive hip belt. This system distributes the heavy load evenly across the torso and hips, guaranteeing absolute stability (zero bounce) on technical descents. It also offers a multitude of smart storage solutions, including an integrated back protector for riding confidently on committing terrain.
What are the maximum dimensions of the battery accepted in the pack? The internal compartment is made from a stretchy and robust fabric fitted with securing straps to accommodate virtually all current internal or external batteries on the market (up to approximately 45–50 cm long). Common models such as Bosch PowerTube (500, 625, 750 Wh) or Shimano Steps fit without any difficulty.
Is the pack not too heavy to carry once loaded with a battery? Carrying an e-MTB battery (which generally weighs between 3 and 4.5 kg) demands excellent ergonomics. This is where USWE engineering makes the difference: the battery is positioned vertically, right at the centre of the back and as close to your spine as possible. Combined with the NDM 2.0 harness, the weight does not pull backwards and is absorbed by the harness suspension, which considerably reduces shoulder fatigue.
Can this pack be used without a battery for regular MTB riding? Yes, absolutely. If you head out without a second battery, the internal sleeve folds completely flat. You then recover the full 25 litres of volume to carry warm clothing, lightweight bivouac gear or a complete photography kit.
