"Hi, changing the rear wheel on my mountain bike, the only cassette available was a Shimano 8V on SRAM hubs. I was with a Shimano derailleur and a Shimano 7V shifter. The SRAM 3.0 shifter doesn't seem precise enough to get the right gear at the right moment. I think I'm going to have to change the derailleur for a more recent and probably newer model in order to regain the flexibility and precision of gear shifting. Quality of the product itself: I'd say minimum to see how it holds up over time and with atmospheric conditions (rain, sun and especially dust)."
